Maar wist je dat je video ook in kunt zetten tijdens het screeningsproces? De sollicitanten of kandidaten maken video\u2019s om te solliciteren op een bepaalde vacature. De \u2018candidates\u2019 worden dus \u2018gescreend\u2019 op basis van de video\u2019s die zij insturen. Recruiters evalueren deze video\u2019s.\u201d<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wat tof! Waar moeten we dan aan denken? Video\u2019s waarin mensen zich voorstellen of meer video interviews?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cVideo interviews niet per se, omdat het geen online videogesprekken zijn maar de kracht juist zit in het asynchrone. De kandidaten kunnen video\u2019s in hun eigen tijd opnemen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Welke soorten candidate screening kunnen we dan onderscheiden?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe eerste vorm is <strong>video motivation<\/strong>. Dit is simpel gezegd een motivatiebrief in videovorm. De kandidaten worden dan gevraagd om een motivatievideo op te nemen voor een bepaalde vacature, bijvoorbeeld van 1 of 2 minuten. Dit kan tijdens het solliciteren in het formulier of direct na het solliciteren. Recruiters kunnen er zelf ook nog voor kiezen om de instructies als video op te nemen, om het wervingsproces zo leuk, interactief en persoonlijk mogelijk te maken.<\/p>\n<p>De tweede vorm is <strong>video assessment<\/strong>. Dit vervangt een telefonische intake niet per se, maar is meer een soort tweede gesprek. Zie het als een recruitment software waarbij de kandidaat \u00e9\u00e9n of meerdere vragen moet beantwoorden met video\u2019s. De kandidaat krijgt de tijd om een antwoord op te nemen op bepaalde vragen. Om de sollicitaties zo authentiek mogelijk te maken, heeft de kandidaat maar \u00e9\u00e9n poging. Deze antwoorden kan je als HR dan rustig terugkijken en zo kun je het toptalent eruit filteren.<\/p>\n<p>De derde vorm is <strong>video collaborate<\/strong>. Dit biedt de mogelijkheid om de video&#8217;s van kandidaten te delen met je collega&#8217;s en hiring managers. Een soort voordracht dus, waarin je met elkaar kan samenwerken. Zeker in deze tijd is dat belangrijk, aangezien de meeste communicatie online loopt. Welke voordelen heeft candidate screening nog meer voor degene die de video ontvangt?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHet belangrijkste voordeel is wel dat je talent niet misloopt. Je kunt talent simpelweg sneller en gemakkelijker ontdekken. Maar je leert een kandidaat ook eerder en beter kennen, want het is persoonlijker dan een motivatiebrief. Zo kun je beter bepalen of iemand binnen een bedrijf past, maar dat heeft meer te maken met recruitment video\u2019s. Ook een groot voordeel is de eerlijkheid van het wervingsproces: de keuzes zijn minder bevooroordeeld doordat je de persoon \u2018echt\u2019 kunt zien. Daarnaast heeft de asynchroniteit als voordeel dat het ontzettend veel tijd en kosten scheelt, wat vaak heel fijn is voor drukke recruiters of human resource medewerkers. Ook ervaren de kandidaten het vaak als leuker dan de traditionele sollicitatieprocedures; een video maken is veel leuker en innovatiever dan de zoveelste cv en motivatiebrief.
