Closed Captions (CC)

Closed captions (CC) are a text version of the dialogues, sound effects, or music within a video. They are often used to make videos accessible to viewers who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who are watching with the volume turned off. Often mistaken for subtitles, captions are used on the assumption that viewers cannot hear the audio.
